Budding playwright, Emily Peck credits her Masters in business for seeing her first play professionally produced on stage. "I’m learning how to finance my projects and market myself," says Emily, who is earning a BFA as part of UBC Sauder’s 4.5-year- long B+MM Dual Degree.

"When you’re in the arts, you are your own business,” she says.

Today, Peck has checked one big to-do off her list: one of her scripts was recently performed on Granville Island. Now, Peck is strategizing about her next steps—specifically where in the world she would like to expand her experience, debating between London, New York and LA.
